via Antara, 13 June 2024: For Jakarta’s 497th anniversary on June 22, 2024, the provincial government has organized a grand celebration at the National Monument, featuring traditional orchestra gambang keromong, horse carriages, and ontel bicycles. The event will include performances from various cultural groups and prominent Jakarta figures, aiming to engage the public in celebrating the city’s heritage.
The Jakarta provincial government has prepared horse carriages, ontel bicycles, and traditional orchestra gambang keromong to enliven the 497th anniversary celebrations of Jakarta on June 22, 2024, at the National Monument, Central Jakarta.
Jakarta’s assistant for development and environment and chairperson of the Jakarta City 497th Anniversary Commemoration Committee, Afan Adriansyah Idris, said here on Thursday that the activity would be held thanks to synergy among several parties.
The event will also feature the Pasukan Bala Krama Troops, Gita Puja Wiyata IPDN choir, colossal dance, and Color Guard, Idris informed.
