via Antara, 02 Janaury 2024: PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko launched 2024 by inviting tourists to plant trees at Prambanan Temple and Ratu Boko Palace, emphasizing environmental preservation in heritage areas. This initiative, part of the New Year’s tradition, included the planting of bodhi and kalpataru trees, symbolizing enlightenment, virtue, and peace. The event, which also took place at Borobudur Temple and other locations, featured traditional art performances aligning with the theme of “Blessing in Harmony.”
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (TWC) welcomed the first visitors to the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park and Ratu Boko Palace in 2024 by inviting them to plant trees in the area.
“Tree planting is our tradition to invite tourists to preserve the environment in heritage destinations,” PT TWC President Director Febrina Intan remarked here on Tuesday.
According to Intan, the first visitor welcoming activity was also held at Borobudur Temple, the Prambanan Ramayana Theatre and Stage, and the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) on January 1, 2024.
“The planting of bodhi trees and kalpataru trees is a symbol of hope for realizing a future full of enlightenment, virtue, prosperity, and peace for Indonesia and the whole world,” she remarked.
