via Khaosod, 23 May 2023: A thousand-year-old stone quarry has been discovered on the Phu Phan Mountain Range in Sakon Nakhon Province, potentially serving as the source of stones used to build Khmer castles in the region. The story is a couple months old and in Thai, but I haven’t indexed it before.

วันที่ 26 พ.ค.25666 ทีมงานพยัคฆ์ภูเพ็ก นำโดย นายสรรค์สนธิ บุณโยทยาน นักพิภพวิทยา อ.วรวิทย์ ตงศิริ ข้าราชการบำนาญ พร้อมด้วย นายมานพ สาขันธ์โคตร จิตอาสาพัฒนาบ้านเกิด เดินทางลงพื้นที่บ้านม่วง ต.บึงทวาย อ.เต่างอย จ.สกลนคร หลังได้รับแจ้งจากชาวบ้านว่า พบแหล่งตัดหินขนาดใหญ่ ตัดเป็นก้อนสี่เหลี่ยม เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 1-1.5 เมตร
