via Khmer Times, 22 June 2023: Experts from the APSARA National Authority have successfully restored and reassembled severely damaged sandstone window pillars to their original position at the second gallery of Angkor Wat temple, employing appropriate repair techniques for long-term preservation.
Soy Sophearith, an archaeologist and conservation agent at Angkor Wat from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the APSARA National Authority said that his team had been repairing the sandstone window pillars since early April 2023.
