via Khmer Times, 15 October 2021: A small temple in the northwest side of Angkor Wat is to be restored.
The Apsara Authority will embark on restoring the Prohm Kel temple soon due to its dilapidation condition.
The 12th century 12-metre-high temple was used as an important hospital in the Angkor Empire during the reign of Jayavarman VII and is located on the northwest side of Angkor Wat.
The temple, which is 60% , damaged, will not be able to stand without supporting materials provided by the Aspara Authority.
