Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. We are seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow in South and Southeast Asian Archaeology and History for a three year position, starting on 1 March 2022.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to work with Associate Professor Emanuel Mayer and Prof Maria De Iorio, and participate in a research project on computer-assisted numismatics. Tasks would include:
- Die studies of ancient South and Southeast Asian coinages, with the help of a ground-breaking computational model.
- Data collection in South Asia and Europe.
- Historical analysis of the material under study.
Requirements:
The prospective candidate should have a PhD in a related field and an interest in numismatics.
