Germany is cooperating with Apsara Authority to repair and preserve the bas reliefs on the towers of Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap province, according to the Ministry of Culture.
In a statement released yesterday, the ministry said a German-funded project is currently working together with Apsara Authority to renovate bas reliefs on the tower on the northeast corner of the second ridge of Angkor Wat and provide emergency restorations for other parts of the temple.
Apsara Authority is in charge of Preservation of Temples and Preventive Archeology under the auspices of the German Apsara Restoration Conservation Project (GARCP).
