This maintenance is crucial to prevent flooding and manage water flow in the temple area and Siem Reap city.

Nhem Raksmey, a Technical Officer of the Department of Water, Forestry, and Infrastructure Management, emphasized the importance of ensuring that the water gates function properly during periods of heavy rainfall.
