via Khmer Times, 09 June 2024: The APSARA National Authority’s water management team is repairing and renovating over 200 main water gates at the Angkor site to ensure they function properly during the upcoming rainy season. This maintenance is crucial to prevent flooding and manage water flow in the temple area and Siem Reap city.
The APSARA National Authority’s water management team is currently focused on repairing and renovating the main water gates at the Angkor site in preparation for the upcoming rainy season.
Nhem Raksmey, a Technical Officer of the Department of Water, Forestry, and Infrastructure Management, emphasized the importance of ensuring that the water gates function properly during periods of heavy rainfall.
