via Khmer Times, 21 February 2024: The APSARA National Authority is currently restoring the east gate of the East Mebon, focusing on reinforcing its structural integrity. The project involves strengthening the base, restoring the upper structure, sealing cracks, and ensuring overall stability.
The restoration team of APSARA National Authority is restoring and strengthening the east gate of the Eastern Mebon Temple, which is dilapidated.
The restoration project focused on several important tasks, such as strengthening the sandstone and laterite structures at the bottom, restoring and reinforcing the decayed upper brick structure, sealing the cracks to prevent water, and putting the support to stabilize the whole gate structure as well.
