via Khmer Times, 17 February 2024: The Apsara National Authority is actively restoring the second eastern gate of the Pre Rup Temple, focusing on reinforcing the brick towers and the underlying sandstone and laterite structures.
The restoration team from the Department of Conservation of Monuments and Preventive Archaeology of the Apsara National Authority (ANA) is restoring and strengthening the second east gate of the Pre Rup Temple.
According to ANA stated on February 16, 2024, in this restoration work, the technicians carried out two main tasks: restoring and reinforcing the decaying brick towers, strengthening the sandstone and laterite structures below, and sealing the cracks and gaps to prevent water as well.
