via Antara, 05 February 2024: Indonesia is focusing on the Muarajambi National Cultural Heritage Area in Jambi Province to secure UNESCO recognition, emphasizing its unique brick structures and historical significance. Efforts include revitalization aligning with cultural advancement laws, environmental protection, and community-led management, aiming to highlight Muarajambi not just as a tourist spot but as a center of civilization and education.
The Muarajambi National Cultural Heritage Area (KCBN) in Jambi Province is one of the areas the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) is focusing on obtaining UNESCO recognition for.
“KCBN Muarajambi has become the focus of preservation because this site has a distinctive brick structure shape and interesting historical value,” secretary of the Directorate General of Culture of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Fitra Arda, informed in an official statement issued in Jakarta on Monday.
