via Vietnam Plus, 13 September 2023: Hung Yen province in northern Vietnam is actively preserving its rich array of over 1,800 historical sites and numerous intangible cultural heritages to boost tourism and meet the cultural needs of its community.
Located in the centre of the Red River Delta, the northern province of Hung Yen boasts various tangible and intangible cultural heritage items, which holds great potential for tourism development.
The locality currently is home to over 1,800 historical sites, including three special national sites and 175 national sites, as well as seven artefacts and groups of artefacts recognised as national treasures.
Notable sites are special national relic sites Pho Hien in Hung Yen city, Thai Lac Temple in Van Lam district, and An Xa Temple in Tien Lu district.
