Legacy in the Stones: A Glimpse into Bayon Temple’s Delicate Restoration Effort

via Khmer Times, 06 September 2023: The APSARA National Authority and local restoration teams are diligently restoring the Bayon Temple in using traditional techniques and guidelines as outlined in the Angkor Charter, focusing on attention to detail, patience, and collaborative problem-solving.

The work of repairing this ancient temple, in addition to using skills and techniques, giving advice, finding solutions to problems, and listening to all the opinions to get a smooth work progress, he said.

Prunh never thought that he could become a temple restorer. But when preparing the stone, working directly with the temple gave him a lot of skills and knowledge to continue from the work of the ancestors.
