APSARA Authority is to organize visiting circuits in Angkor Thom to facilitate better visits

via Khmer Times, 19 July 2023: The APSARA Authority is organizing visiting circuits in Angkor Thom to enhance the tourist experience, with specific routes covering different temples and historical sites, aiming to manage visitor flow, ensure safety, and provide comprehensive historical interpretation.

For the second visiting circuit at the walls of Angkor Thom, starting from the Tonle Om Gate (Southern Gate), continuing to the Tradev water gate, Boeung Thom, the Southwest Prasat Chrung, the Takav Gate (Western Gate), and ending at the Western Top temple.

Ms. Lay Srey Penh stated that this arrangement is significant in terms of raising the value of the temple, delaying the visit of tourists, managing the flow of visitors, not congestion, the safety of tourists and temples, and providing a good experience for tourists as well as a comprehensive interpretation of the history of the temple. To succeed in the above visiting circuits, APSARA National Authority requests all tourists to visit the temples according to the signs prepared by the instructions of the tourism agents and by the Angkor Code of Conduct.
