via Vietnam Express, 9 Nov 2022: The auction of Minh Mang’s seal was delayed to yesterday, and now delayed again to the end of next week.
French auction house Millon said it has rescheduled the auction of a 19th century Nguyen Dynasty imperial seal following the Vietnamese government’s interest in it.
This is the second time it is postponing the auction of the 11-kg gold seal. An announcement on its website said: “Due to the strong interest of the Vietnamese State for lot 101 gold seal of Emperor Minh Mang, we postpone the sale of this piece to Friday, November 18, 2022 at noon.”
