via Khmer Times, 04 August 2022: The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts reports an impressive record of temple restoration over the last five years.
Cambodia has restored 177 ancient structures in the five years from 2017 to 2021, and is in line with the policy of “preserving and developing national culture” in the three-year strategic plan of the Ministry of Fine Arts.
The results of the five-year project, which Khmer Times received yesterday, said the ministry has worked hard to implement all manner of restoration work and achieved much with the restoration of 121 ancient temples, 14 ancient churches, four gates, one port, five ancient bridges, and 32 other structures including an ancient pavilion, and national museum and libraries.
