New sunset circuit identified at Phnom Krom temple in Siem Reap

via Khmer Times, 01 February 2022: A new place to see the sun set in Angkor, Phnom Krom promises a view over the Tonle Sap. This is a welcome move to alleviate the stress on Phnom Bakheng.

With the biggest cliché in photography being the sunrise and sunset for local and international tourists, the Apsara Authority is preparing a visiting circuit or a sunset point at the Phnom Krom temple in Siem Reap.

Angkor Tourism Department deputy director Seng Sotheara said that the Apsara Authority will also organise sunset tours so that tourists can experience the beauty and splendour around the temple area and a walkway with proper signage and information poles.

He said when locals and tourists think about a sunset viewing, what comes into their mind is the Phnom Bakheng temple.
