Angkor Archaeological Park guides receive temple risk management training

via Khmer Times, 15 October 2021: Tour guides given training to identify erosion at the temples.

Tour guides stationed at the temples in Angkor Archaeological Park received training on temple risk management.

The training was arranged by the Department of Angkor Tourism Development in collaboration with experts from the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The aim of the training is to ensure the safety of both tourists and crew.

The Director of the Department of Preservation of Temples in Angkor Park and Preventive Archaeology, Im Sokrithy, stated that the APSARA Authority pays special attention to increasing the capacity of itself by transferring knowledge and experience from researchers to experts. Most importantly, it also pays special care of educating tourist guides who work directly at the temples.
