This is the final volume in this series of reports, covering the seven seasons of excavations of Non Ban Jak in Northeast Thailand. This moated settlement while occupied during the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, is particularly important for its documenting a late Iron Age town with occupation extending into the early historic period. The final chapter presents a model for the transition into early states following climatic change and an agricultural revolution.
