Donner un visage à la ville d’Angkor Thom, établir sa « biographie », comprendre comment elle fut conçue en en dressant minutieusement la cartographie : telle est la tâche que s’est fixée l’équipe de ModAThom, qui livrera bientôt les résultats de ses recherches.
Un bureau de l’EFEO, au bord de la rivière de Siem Reap. Des ordinateurs, des cartons entiers emplis de tessons de poterie soigneusement étiquetés, des publications et des dossiers s’accumulent un peu partout dans la pièce, témoignant de la densité des recherches menées depuis tant d’années.
