[Fellowship] Art Education between Heritage-Making and Critical Transregionality

Thanks to Dr. Mai Lin Tjoa-Bonatz for this information, a research fellowship (Pre-Doc) position looking at collection history, art education in South and Southeast Asian studies. Deadline for application is 11 May 2021.

Research Fellow (m/f/div) 66% part-time employment § 14 Abs. 1 TzBfG – E 13 TV-L HU (pay scale for Public Serice). The position is limited to 3 years.

Job description:
Contribution to research as part of the interdisciplinary research project “Art Education between Heritage-Making and Critical Transregionality” under the direction of Prof. Dr. Eva Ehninger; activities and responsibilities that advance the professional qualification of the applicant; development of PhD-project.

Requirements:
Completed graduate degree in a field relevant to the research project (art history, visual studies, cultural studies, studies for the South Asian region, or other) research interest in concepts of learning/education/competence in colonial contexts; conventions of valuation for craft/art; histories of collecting in the period of transition from Colonialism to Independence; very good language skills in English; research or work experience in the research region is an asset.
