Another learning resource to help you with the lockdown life during Covid-19: following the feedback from last week’s post on the Typology and Evolution of Indian Temples, I’ve set up a page dedicated to free online lectures related to Southeast Asian Archaeology. At current count, there are over 90 lectures, which is probably two or three course credits worth of knowledge, covering topics like architecture, underwater archaeology, museum collections and also region-specific content. They are produced by various institutions like the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, SOAS and SEAMEO SPAFA.
I’m pleasantly surprised about the number of lectures out there, and if you’re staying indoors with time to learn new knowledge, this might be the page for you. If you know of any other lectures that are not on the list, leave a comment or contact me so that I can add it.
Check out the SEAArch Online Lecture Library here. For other resources to help you during the stay at home period, you may also want to check out the Virtual Southeast Asia directory, or download some Southeast Asian Archaeology colouring pages.
Hello. I was thrilled and grateful when I saw that you have made these lectures available. However the link isn’t working for me. I get reloaded pages and error messages. I’m hoping you might be able to restore the link. Thanks for your time. Valli
Thanks Valli. I think the website might be straining under the number of embeds I’ve put on the page. I will be working to fix the links in the next few days!
