via Antara News, 13 June 2023: President Joko Widodo held a meeting with Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and other key officials to expedite the revitalization of the Borobudur Temple area, aiming for completion by 2024.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) summoned Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo to the state palace for a limited meeting to discuss the revitalization of the Borobudur Temple area.
Ganjar Pranowo, who is the presidential candidate of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), was seen entering and exiting the side door of the state secretariat building.
“The arrangement of Borobudur must be completed in 2024, and the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment said that the institution (supervising it) should be single,” he said here on Tuesday.
The meeting discussed the role of the central, provincial, and district/city governments in accelerating Borobudur Temple’s revitalization, he informed.
