via Khmer Times, 30 September 2022: Germeny renews its pledge to aid in the conservation of Cambodia’s cultural heritage for the next decade.
The German government has pledged to preserve both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as to train human resources in Cambodia’s conservation and cultural work to contribute to the preservation and promotion of growth and development.
The new German Ambassador to Cambodia, Stefan Messeres said the German government will continue to support Cambodia through the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts to preserve culturally relevant fields.
“Helping to preserve and support Cambodia’s cultural sector is to support both human resource training, conservation work on tangible and intangible cultural heritage and other activities that the German government can assist,” he said.
