via Khmer Times, 17 August 2022: The projection is still about a quarter of pre-pandemic tourist arrivals.
The year 2022 could be the beginning of a long recovery for Cambodian tourism, though it would still be a far cry from 6.6 million international tourists the Kingdom received in pre-pandemic 2019, Director General of Tourism Development and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism Thong Rathasak tells Khmer Times
Recovering fast from the Covid-19 downfall, Cambodia is banking on increased arrival of foreign tourists this year, compared to the last two years. The expectation of the Ministry of Tourism is that the country could receive 1.2 to 1.3 million tourists by the end of 2022.
