via Khmer Times, 21 April 2022: Taxi drivers servicing Preah Vihear report an uptick in business.
Things are looking up for taxi drivers plying the steep scenic road from the base of the Dangrek Mountains up to cliff-top Preah Vihear temple in Preah Vihear province as tourists have returned and with them, a means for a better livelihood.
The drivers, skilled in manoeuvring the 7km winding road, rejoiced when tourists arrived in large numbers with the start of Khmer New Year, something they have been hoping for as they had been struggling to make a living ever since the Covid-19 pandemic struck and put paid to their income.
