A museum will be built to house an ancient ship found in the Punjulharjo village in central Java.
Rembang Ancient Ship Museum to be Built

The Rembang Regency government will build an ancient ship museum in Punjulharjo village with funds totaling Rp3 billion. “The budget will come from the central government,†said Karsono, the local culture, tourism, youth and sports office chief in charge of art and culture on Wednesday.
The location was the site of a 4 by 16 meter ancient ship that was discovered on July 26, 2008. The site was previously a fishpond belonging to the local villagers. The ancient ship was found when eight people were digging in the fishpond.
