via Phnom Penh Post, 15 January 2022: Updates on restoration work at the Pre Rup and Western Prasat Top temples in Angkor.
The Apsara National Authority (ANA) has completed restorations at the southern portion of Pre Rup temple’s east gate, in Siem Reap province, nearly 11 months after work started in February 2021.
ANA on January 14 said its technical team “carried out some important tasks including consolidating the lower structure, reinforcing the walls as well as restoring the cracked and decayed walls”.
“The team is currently conducting a general clean-up on the site and examining other areas of the temple which are at high risk,” ANA said.
