APSARA Authority temporarily closes traffic at the west gate of Angkor Thom

via Khmer Times, 10 June 2021: The west gate of Angkor Thom will be temporarily closed for repairs.

APSARA Authority would like to inform the public that from today onwards, APSARA Authority will close the traffic on the gate of Takao (West Gate) of the former capital of Angkor. Large temporary to repair the stone, deploy stone fragments, stone assemblies and sculptural pieces for repairs that need to close the gate.

The traffic closure is aimed at facilitating the technical team of the APSARA Authority, as well as ensuring the safety of national and international tourists and citizens.

APSARA Authority hopes that the Ministries, Institutions, Local Authorities, Departments, Units, Associations, Travel Agencies, Associations, Tour Guides, Tourist Transport Associations, Tour Operators, Tourists, National and International Tourists will all understand and cooperate well for the smooth operation of the process of preserving the ancestral property together.
