via Khmer Times, 11 June 2021: The APSARA Authority embarks of cleaning works in the moat of Angkor Thom.
The Apsara Authority has embarked on a cleanliness and beautification programme to promote Angkor Thom Temple in Siem Reap.
The authority has started a massive project to pull out all the weeds and overgrown grass to transform the site into an attractive tourist destination.
The Angkor Thom Temple was established in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman V11 which covers an area of nine kilometres within which are located several monuments from earlier eras as well as those established by the King and his successors.
