Readers may know that in my day job I work for the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts. We are organising an advanced field training on human bone conservation and handling from June 8-15, to be held at the Nong Ratchawat Neolithic cemetery in Suphan Buri Province. The course fee is very highly subsidised, and is open to Southeast Asian nationals. Deadline for application is 10 April 2020, and more details in the link below.
A seven-day intensive training for field archaeologists in human osteology and the excavation, extraction and stabilization of human remains, with a particular focus for Southeast Asian conditions where tropical climates are typical, and resources are under-served. The training is conducted by Southeast Asian experts and targeted towards field archaeologists in the region. The training will be conducted at SEAMEO SPAFA in Bangkok and at the Nong Ratchawat Neolithic Cemetery site in Suphan Buri, in collaboration with the Fine Arts Department (Thailand) and the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University
