Cambodia Becomes Permanent Member Of World Heritage Committee

ambodian Prime Minister on Tuesday expressed his warmly welcome as Cambodia becomes the permanent member of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) of UNESCO in 17th general assembly in France, China’s Xinhua news agency reported.
“It is a new pride for our country that became fully permanent member of the world heritage committee,” Hun Sen told over 2,000 students in graduation ceremony of a university in Phnom Penh. “It will promote the image and prestige of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the world arena,” he added.
On behalf of new permanent member of the WHC, Cambodia will implement its mission with high responsibility and will strengthen the cooperation with other countries, he said.
