via The Star, 06 May 2024: The Hikayat Hang Tuah manuscript, dating back to 1758, will be featured at the upcoming Hang Tuah Exhibition at the Melaka International Trade Centre. This announcement by the state’s tourism chairman, Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman, follows recent research trips to Amsterdam aimed at substantiating the historical existence of the legendary Hang Tuah.
The Hikayat Hang Tuah manuscript, dated 1758, is among historical artefacts to be displayed at the Hang Tuah Exhibition at the Melaka International Trade Centre next month.
The manuscript is among the latest discoveries in the state government’s study into the legend of Hang Tuah, said state tourism, heritage, arts and culture committee chairman Datuk Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman.
“Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf and I have just returned from Amsterdam to observe the latest discoveries related to Hang Tuah.
