via Bangkok Post, 26 February 2024: Rangers battling forest fires in Nam Phong National Park, Nong Ruea district, stumbled upon rock art while taking shelter under a sandstone formation near Kham Moei Waterfall. The painting, discovered approximately 700 meters from the previously surveyed Ang Chad Rock site, has sparked excitement and prompted notification to the Fine Arts Department.
An ancient painting has been discovered by rangers inside Nam Phong National Park in Nong Ruea district.
Rangers from Hin Chang Si Protection Unit posted a picture of the ancient painting on their Facebook page on Sunday and said staff were in the area of Kham Moei Waterfall to put out forest fires.
