Ifugao State University Museum Unveils Cultural Treasures

via Philippine Information Agency, 19 February 2024: The Ifugao Rice Cultural Museum at Ifugao State University recently held an open house, inviting the public to explore its vast collection of cultural artifacts and the rich heritage of the Ifugao people.

The Ifugao Rice Cultural Museum(IRCM) at the Ifugao State University-Main Campus recently hosted a museum open house providing an opportunity for anyone to explore its diverse collection of cultural artifacts and explore the rich heritage of the Ifugao people.

The IRCM located at the 2nd floor of the old Administration Building, IFSU Main Campus in Lamut, also features artifacts and paraphernalia in the Ifugao rice cycle. It also serves as a laboratory for students taking Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices subject.

Museum-in-charge Edna Butticon said that the event aimed to encourage broader interest among students and the community on the museum as a whole, which is aligned to Sustainable Development Goal 11 specifically on strengthening efforts to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
