via Khmer Times, 18 August 2023: The role of skilled workers, including former garment workers, in restoring temples at Angkor Archaeological Park, emphasizing the dedication and passion of everyday Cambodians, especially women, in conserving their heritage.
At the temple restoration sites in Angkor, in addition to seeing men and women as site managers, some men and women are workers involved in this work together. For example, at the restoration site of Trapeang Lpeou temple, many women and men are busy working in the field of conservation and repair of brick temples. This case proves that women are also an essential part of participating in the conservation and restoration of ancient temples.
