via Khmer Times, 24 April 2023: Officials from the Preah Vihear National Authority received ancient artefacts from villagers of Kong Yong village to be preserved and displayed at the Museum.
Officials from the Department of Research, Training and Documentation of Preah Vihear National Authority on Sunday, received pottery and ancient stone tools from the villagers of Kong Yong villages, Yeang Commune, Choam Ksan district, Preah Vihear to be preserved and displayed at the Samdech Techo Hun Sen Eco-Global Museum.
Mak Doeung, Deputy Director of the Department of Research, Training and Documentation, and his colleagues received the nine artefacts, including seven pottery and two stone tools from Kim Chhean, Director of Kong Yong Primary School. The artefacts were found while his son was plowing a field that was three kilometres from the village. Chhean decided to hand over these artefacts to the Samdech Techo Hun Sen Eco-Global Museum for further protection and preservation.
