Angkor Resort receives nearly 60,000 foreign tourists in first six months

via Khmer Times, 05 July 2022: Ticket sales jumped 1,000% but this is post-covid revenge tourism after all.

Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap welcomed 59,983 foreign tourists in the first six months of this year, earning more than $2.4 million.

The figures were shared by the Angkor Enterprise, the state-owned institution in charge of Angkor income management, in a press release made public yesterday.

Both the number of foreign visitors and the income show a sharp increase of over 1,000 percent compared to the same period last year, it pointed out.
