via Khmer Times, 03 September 2021: Demining efforts ahead of Cambodia’s bid to list Koh Ker as World Heritage.
Preah Vihear Authority in cooperation with CMAC is going to clear mines and other unexploded ordnances (UXOs) in the Koh Ker Temple area, in Preah Vihear province, this month in order to pave the way for UNESCO heritage site listing.
Preah Vihear Authority Deputy General Director Pheng Samoeun said today that the clearing of mines and unexploded ordnances will take places at two locations in the Koh Ker Temple area.
He said the first location is Ta Men Temple (a priority area).
