via Khmer Times, 09 June 2020: I usually attend the ICC-Angkor meetings, but this month’s meeting has been postponed because of Covid-19. Still, the site inspections continue.
International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of the Historic Site of Angkor, which was to be held in the third week of June has been cancelled due to the virus pandemic still looming in the region.
Long Kosal, Apsara Authority spokesman, said despite the cancellation, the ICC Angkor committee will still be cooperating with the UNESCO World Heritage Committee and Apsara Authority in overseeing the development and safeguarding the historic site of Angkor.
The monitoring of the ICC Angkor sites was implemented on June 6 and will be carried out over five days.
