IV International Conference in Archaeological Tourism

Professionals and researchers of archaeological tourism are invited to participate in the IV International Conference in Archaeological Tourism. This event will take place in Trujillo (Peru), on April 3-5, 2009, organized by IBERTUR Network and PromPeru – Peru Export and Tourism Promotion Board.

Other organizations as ICOMOS, UNITWIN Network of UNESCO Chair “Culture, Tourism, Development” and the Phoenician’s Route – European Cultural Route of the Council of Europe will also collaborate with this initiative. We have also the collaboration of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation.

A fam trip for professionals and tour-operators to the archaeological sites of the North area of the country will be organized by PromPeru after the meeting.
Visits to the museums and archaeological sites of Trujillo will be available during the conference
2008 Arqueotur Awards ceremony will be also included in the program

Call for Papers
Languages: English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish

Simultaneous translation to Spanish/English will be available for plenary sessions

Deadline for papers: 12th January 2009
