via Ministry of Information Myanmar, 30 July 2024: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture is restoring 91 ancient lakes in Bagan, with 22 completed and seven more underway. Donations are sought to continue the efforts. Interested donors can contact the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.
THE Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture released a statement that arrangements are being made to restore 91 ancient lakes in the cultural area of Bagan. So far, 22 lakes have been restored, and work on seven more is ongoing.
