Archivist Highlights Philippine Heritage at Peabody

via Harvard Gazette, 29 May 2024: Filipino American archivist Marie Wasnock offers a personal perspective on the Peabody Museum’s exhibit “Balikbayan | Homecoming: Filipino Perspectives on the Philippine Collections“. The exhibit, part of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, delves into historical photos and artifacts, reflecting on the Philippines’ colonial past and cultural diversity.

As part of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and to mark the digital launch of its exhibit “Balikbayan | Homecoming: Filipino Perspectives on the Philippine Collections,” the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology spoke with Associate Archivist Marie Wasnock, a Filipino American from Hawaii who worked on the exhibit.
