The head of a Buddha image was discovered on the bank of the Mekong River in Haisok village, Sisattanak district, Vientiane Capital on 15 May. The finding occurred during the construction of the Mekong River Embankment Project, where workers and local residents stumbled upon it. Currently, local authorities are considering relocating the image and conducting further excavation for additional artifacts.
