Hue’s Royal Heritage Lights Up Hanoi’s Temple of Literature

via Vietnam Plus, 21 November 2023: The “Heritage Convergence” program, held at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature, highlights the rich cultural heritage of Hue, marking Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. This collaboration between the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and the Temple of Literature in Hanoi offers visitors artistic light performances, traditional royal activities like poetry and calligraphy from the Nguyen Dynasty era, and showcases the internationally acclaimed Hue royal court music.

Visitors to the Temple of Literature will have the chance to immerse themselves in an art light performance and engage in royal pastimes such as composing poetry and calligraphy. Originating in the Nguyen Dynasty royal court, such activities eventually became popular in the former imperial capital of Hue.

Tourists will also be treated to multiple art performances showcasing the world-renowned intangible heritage of Hue royal court music.
