Ministry of Culture cooperate with the authorities to resolve the demolition of ancient structures at Wat Ounalom

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will cooperate with local authorities and relevant institutions to investigate and resolve legal issues in the case of the demolition of three ancient structures in Wat Ounalom.

In a letter the ministry said, “The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts would like to inform the public that the case of the demolition of 3 ancient structures (Nos. 43, 44 and 45) built during 1930 in Wat Ounalom…the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will work closely with local authorities and relevant institutions to investigate and resolve legal measures by keeping the site free of construction new until the procedures in force have been resolved.”

Dr Phoeung Sakona, Minister of Culture, in a letter said, that the ministry is sad about the destruction of the structure.
