Museums department launches online catalogue of six provincial collections

The Department of Museums and the US embassy in Phnom Penh will launch an online catalogue of the collections of six provincial museums on September 19 that will be managed by the National Museum.

The September 16 press statement said that this catalogue is the result of a one-year project by the Department of Museums with the support of the culture ministry called “Provincial Museum Collection Database Project,” which was funded by the US embassy.

The statement said six provincial museums participated in the project: Takeo Provincial Museum, Angkor Borei Museum, Prey Veng Provincial Museum, Pursat Provincial Museum, Kompong Thom Provincial Museum and Kampong Chhnang Provincial Museum.
