via Khmer Times, 19 January 2022: Kratie authorities act on information that a company damaged temples during forest clearing work.
The Kratie Provincial Administration is in the midst of preparing a lawsuit against Think Biotech (Cambodia) Co Ltd – for already clearing a forest site and subsequently causing damage to ancient stone carvings of an ancient temple and causing it to collapse in Sambour district.
Culture Ministry Heritage Department director-general Ouk Sokha said yesterday the ancient stone carvings were from the ancient temple Leav Chom also called Trapaing Krabao, which is situated in the forest area of Achen village in Sambour district’s Kampong Cham commune.
