via Khmer Times, 02 December 2021: Ceremony to mark the restoration of a temple at Banteay Meanchey province.
A two-day ceremony to mark the restoration of the Mebon Temple situated in the middle of a moat in Banteay Meanchey province was held the last two days with some 500 people coming in to pray, give offerings as well as visit the renovated temple and site.
Some 250 monks and 300 nuns are participating in the ceremony.
The temple underwent an extensive renovation since March last year and was completed in August this year. The authorities also embarked on restoration works at the Baray Mebon moat so that people from four villages residing surrounding it could take water for their daily use.
