Readers may know that I work at the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts in Bangkok as my day-job, and I am currently organising the 3rd SEAMEO SPAFA International Conference on Southeast Asian Archaeology held in Bangkok from 17-21 June 2019.
We’ve just put the programme schedule and abstracts online – we have over 200 papers presented this year (compared to 150 papers in 2016) and it looks to be an exciting lineup of presentations with panels about Women in Southeast Asian Archaeology, Colonial Archaeology, Myanmar archaeology and of course, Rock Art (you can see the complete list of panels and papers here).
Registrations are still open, and there are a number of optional activities such as site visits to Ayutthaya and post-conference workshops on academic writing and creating heritage trails. Hope to see you in Bangkok!
